This was fun I had some problems with my tablet so some parts are a bit messy cuz I worked with a mouse, but it turned out ok I think.
"What's wrong with me? Why do I feel like this? I'm going crazy now
No more gas, in the red, can't even get it started Nothing heard, nothing said, can't even speak about it On my life, on my head, don't wanna think about it Feels like I'm going insane, yeah
It's a thief in the night to come and grab you It can creep up inside you and consume you A disease of the mind, it can control you It's too close for comfort
Put on your pretty lies, you're in the city of wonder Ain?t gon? play nice, watch out you might just go under Better think twice, your train of thought will be altered So if you must falter be wise
Your mind?s in disturbia, it's like the darkness is light Disturbia, am I scaring you tonight? Disturbia, ain?t used to what you like Disturbia, disturbia ..." Rihanna-Disturbia
This is a beautiful, cohesive image. The use of muted sepia tones helps create a mood of mental decay, tying the young figure into the desolate world surrounding her. The skin tones have life, yet they blend so well with the surroundings. Critiques are not critiques without constructive criticism, so even though I feel it's unnecessary, I'm compelled to offer it. The theme of a disturbed mind could be carried out even further with the figure trying harder to either isolate herself or wrest herself from her reality. Still, I enjoy this piece and you are a very talented 18-year old!
I love the colors, so subdued and it just makes the viewer feel the sadness and pain of the model!
I do think maybe the hand on the right middle of the bottom would have been better suited had you made it grab her ankle... to show her struggle.
I always love looking at your work, you are becoming such a wonderful artist!! I hope that helps!
Overall though, I am in awe of your skills!!!
Great Work!! Keep it up!
