This is, among other projects, the image I was workin on for the last few days.
As a person that is used to making photomanipulations, even with the amount of painting I do in each of them, this was a real challenge. But a lot of fun at the same time.
Its been a while since my last attempt in painting, so for this I decided to use a refernce and read couple of tuts before I started, turns out it was a smart thing to do, couse I am happy with the final result. Hair is a bit of a mess, so I will be testing couple of more techniques these days and maybe update this eventually with better hair. I am proud of the eye lol. Was always the hardest thing for me to pull off (I draw traditionally a lot too in my spare time, in fact, my first few pieces here were traditional art), but I am happy with the result here

So on the theme and concept...
Black Swan, I watched it few days ago and absolutely loved it. Natalie played her part perfectly and I must say I really loved the charachter so I decided to do something related to the movie. Reference for the face can be found here - [link]
And the crazy hairstyle in the photo inspired me to do the "swan from hair" concept. No refernce used for swan or wings (no internet lol) so they might seem a bit off.
